The tiebreakers in the event of a four-way tie for the final two spots (which is possible if Buffalo beats Kent State, Miami loses and Akron and Northern Illinois both win) are: head-to-head competition, point accumulation against ranked conference teams, goal differential (all conference games), goals allowed (all conference games) and a coin flip. 455, which would tie Kent State and Miami if both teams lose their final regular-season game. However, a win by either Akron or Northern Illinois puts their winning percentage at. Both Akron and Northern Illinois must win to have a shot at qualifying, and if both lose, Miami, Kent State and Buffalo would punch their tournament ticket. In addition to Miami (.500 winning percentage), four teams-Kent State (.500), Buffalo (.444), Akron (.400) and Northern Illinois (.400)-are still in contention for the final three tournament spots. WIN AND YOU'RE IN: For Miami, a win or a tie in its final regular-season game puts it into the MAC Tournament for the third straight season, while a loss makes things a little more complicated.
